WHAT IS GSA EBUY?
GSA eBuy is a web-based system that streamlines the Request for Proposal/Request for Quote (RFQ) process. It has been designed to facilitate the request of proposals for services/products/solutions that are offered through GSA Schedule Contracts.
By using this system government buyers can post the RFP/RFQ for definite products/services for a given time period. The contractors then assess the request and drafts a proposal in response, which is uploaded directly into the GSA eBuy system.
HOW GSA EBUY WORKS ?
After a federal agency posts to GSA eBuy, only Schedule vendors with the SIN number specified can respond. Commonly, there is a document or two posted, which will direct the vendor on how to respond with their proposal. The response must follow the directives carefully. Adding a details description of your solution, along with a clear value proposition is also very important.
WHY TO USE EBUY?
GSA eBuy has been designed to bring speed and simplicity to federal online procurement. By using eBuy, federal purchasers can request quotes & information, find supply sources, obtain complicated needs, request high-dollar items, and set up a Blanket Purchase Agreements. All while enjoying security in their business transactions. eBuy orders can be up to $30,000 without being publicly posted to a site like FedBizOpps.
